The Italian Bar Pizza has long been vegan friendly but the decision to step up our game came when owner Daniel Sofo’s wife adopted a plant based diet, happily coinciding with her pregnancy. You know what they say – happy wife, happy life. We’re pleased to say more than half a dozen of our pizzas on offer are vegetarian and easily adaptable to vegan just by swapping Notzarella in and mozzarella out. At no extra charge of course.
We make our dough in the traditional way using a natural Madre starter (rather than commercial yeast) and adopt a three day long cold fermentation with no animal products used, and all of our veg toppings are roasted in house in our wood oven too.
